On June 29 the new EastLink tollway will be open in the eastern area of Melbourne. This includes the two brand new tunnels that go under a protected wilderness area. To celebrate the opening, they had a festival at the Ringwood interchange. It included bike races, classic cars on display, and a chance to walk through the tunnels.

This window was above a pizza shop on Smith Street in Fitzroy. We were having a bite to eat after buying my brand new camera bag from the Crumpler store (in case you didn't know...they are an Australian company) and this was across the street.
I just kind of liked the color along with the peeling paint. Yeah, the wire is kind of distracting...in a city with a tram system, they're hard to avoid.

This was the one of those thrill rides where the arm swings people around in a huge circle. I caught it just as it passed in front of the sun a the Royal Melbourne Show.
